Allah the Exalted has likewise said in Sūrah al-Mulk:—“For those who disbelieve in their Lord there is the punishment of Hell, and what an evil destination it is! When they are cast into it they will hear it roaring as it seethes, almost bursting with fury. Every time a host is flung into it, its keepers will ask, ‘Did no warner come to you?’ They will say, ‘Yes indeed, a warner did come to us, but we called him a liar and said, ‘Allah has not sent down anything; you are only in gross error.’’” ⦗al-Mulk: 6-9⦘

This informs us that every company hurled into the Fire had already received a warner, just as He—the Exalted—said: “We would never punish until We had sent a messenger.” ⦗al-Isrāʾ: 15⦘

He also said: “Messengers giving warnings, so that people would have no argument against Allah after the messengers.” ⦗al-Nisāʾ: 165⦘

And He—the Exalted—said: “O company of jinn and mankind! Did messengers from among yourselves not come to you, reciting My revelations to you and warning you of the meeting of this Day of yours?’ They will reply, ‘We bear witness against ourselves.’ The life of this world deceived them, and they will bear witness against themselves that they had been disbelievers.” ⦗al-Anʿām: 130⦘.
