And after recounting his story He said:

“Then We raised up, after those people, another generation, and We sent among them a messenger from their own ranks, saying, ‘Worship Allah; you have no deity but Him. Will you not then be mindful of Him?’ ” ⦗al-Muʾminūn: 31⦘.

Then, when He had finished telling their story, the Exalted said:

“Next We raised up, after them, other generations; no nation can advance its appointed time, nor can they delay it. Then We sent Our messengers in succession; every time their messenger came to a nation they rejected him, so We caused them to follow one another into destruction, and We made them mere tales—so away with a people who do not believe. Then We sent Moses and his brother Aaron with Our signs and a manifest authority to Pharaoh and his council, but they grew arrogant, for they were a haughty people.” ⦗al-Muʾminūn: 42-46⦘.

Thus He informed us that He dispatched His messengers one after another—continuously—and then He mentioned the sending of Moses and Aaron, whose mission preceded that of the Messiah by a long span of time.

He—exalted is He—also said:

“We have certainly raised up in every community a messenger who proclaimed, ‘Worship Allah and shun the false deities.’ Among them were those whom Allah guided, and among them were those upon whom misguidance was due. So travel through the land and observe how the deniers ended.” ⦗al-Naḥl: 36⦘.

This is His own declaration—glorified and exalted be He—that He sent to every nation a messenger calling them to worship Allah alone.

And He—exalted is He—said regarding the Messiah, may Allah’s blessings be upon him—
