and the Christians. They are the ones who believe in all the Books of Allah and all His messengers, denying none of His Scriptures and repudiating none of His envoys. Rather, they follow what Allah commanded them when He said:
“Say, ‘We believe in Allah, and in what has been sent down to us, and in what was sent down to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes; and in what Moses and Jesus were given; and in what the prophets were given from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we submit.’” (Q 2:136)
He, Most High, also said:
“The Messenger has believed in what has been sent down to him from his Lord, and so have the believers. All believe in Allah, His angels, His Books, and His messengers. They say, ‘We make no distinction between any of His messengers.’ And they say, ‘We hear and obey. Grant us Your forgiveness, our Lord; to You is the journey’s end.’” (Q 2:285)
Since the Muslims are those who follow every messenger of Allah—the Messiah included—and because Allah has promised to aid the messengers and their followers, the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said in a sound hadith:
“A group from my community will remain manifest upon the truth; those who oppose them or abandon them will not harm them until the Hour is established.”
He also said, “I asked my Lord not to give power over my community to an enemy from outside who would annihilate them, and He granted me that request.”
Thus the very argument they advanced turns out to be evidence against them, not in their favor.
