the chief of the Romans. Peace be upon those who follow guidance. To proceed: I summon you with the call of Islam—accept Islam and you will be safe; accept Islam and Allah will grant you your reward twice over. But if you turn away, then upon you rests the sin of the arīsiyyūn (your common folk).”

And Allah says:
“O People of the Book, come to a word that is fair between us and you: that we worship none but Allah, that we associate nothing with Him, and that none of us take one another as lords instead of Allah. If they turn away, then say, ‘Bear witness that we are Muslims.’”
[Āl ʿImrān 64]

Even more explicit is that Allah, exalted be He, has stated in His Book that Islam was the religion of the Prophets—such as Noah, Abraham, Jacob—and of their followers down to the Disciples. This fulfills His saying, exalted is He:
“Whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted from him.”
[Āl ʿImrān 85]
Thus, the religion with Allah is Islam in every time and place.

He, exalted is He, said about Noah, the first messenger Allah sent to the people of the earth:
“And recite to them the story of Noah, when he said to his people, ‘My people, if my presence among you and my reminding you of Allah’s signs has become burdensome for you, then I have placed my trust in Allah. So gather together your plan and your partners, let not your plan be hidden from you, then carry it out against me and give me no respite.’”
[Yūnus 71]
