and His words, Exalted is He:

“They swear by Allah their most solemn oaths: ‘If a sign comes to them, they will surely believe in it.’” ⦗al-Anʿām 6:109⦘

and His words:

“They swear by Allah their most solemn oaths: ‘If you command them, they will certainly march forth.’ Say: ‘Do not swear.’” ⦗al-Nūr 24:53⦘

and His words:

“They swore by Allah with their utmost oaths that if a warner came to them, they would surely be better guided than any nation.” ⦗Fāṭir 35:42⦘

Among the same pattern is His saying:

“If you were to ask them, ‘Who created the heavens and the earth?’ they would assuredly say, ‘Allah.’” ⦗Luqmān 31:25⦘

and His saying:

“If you ask them, they will surely say, ‘We were only engaging in idle talk and amusement.’” ⦗al-Tawbah 9:65⦘

and His saying:

“If our Lord does not show mercy to us and forgive us, we will certainly be among the losers.” ⦗al-Aʿrāf 7:149⦘

and His saying:

“If the hypocrites, those in whose hearts is a disease, and the alarmists in Medina do not desist, We shall surely incite you against them.” ⦗al-Aḥzāb 33:60⦘
