He, Exalted is He, also said:
“We sent no messenger before you without revealing to him, ‘There is no god but Me; therefore worship Me.’” (al-Anbiyaʾ 25)
And He, Exalted, said:
“We have certainly sent to every community a messenger, [commanding], ‘Worship Allah and keep away from the idols.’ Among them were those whom Allah guided, while others were destined to stray. So travel through the land and look at the fate of those who denied.” (al-Nahl 36)
He sent down the Book to him in truth, confirming the scriptures that came before it and safeguarding them. Thus his Book attested to the heavenly books that preceded it, and he commanded belief in all the prophets, just as the Exalted said:
“Say, ‘We believe in Allah, in what has been sent down to us, in what was sent down to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob and the Tribes, in what Moses and Jesus were given, and in what the prophets received from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we submit.’ If they believe in the same as you have believed, they are rightly guided; but if they turn away, they are only locked in discord. Allah will suffice you against them, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.” (al-Baqarah 136–137)
