Al-Jawāb as-Sahīh li-man baddala dīn al-MasīhIbn Taimiya

Moreover, the Quran speaks about the Hereafter in unrivalled detail, describing Paradise and Hell, bliss and punishment, in a way that has no parallel in the Torah or the Gospel. In fact, the Torah contains no explicit statement about the Resurrection; almost all of its promises and threats concern this world—promises of provision, victory, and a favorable outcome, and threats of drought, disease, and hostile enemies. Mention of the Afterlife does appear in prophetic books other than the Torah, and for that reason the People of the Book acknowledge the Resurrection and the great Day of Judgment. Some have claimed that the Torah itself alludes to it as well, but not with the breadth and clarity found outside the Torah.
