and He—exalted is He—also says:
“so that it may warn those who say, ‘Allah has taken a son.’ They have no knowledge of this, nor did their forefathers.” (Q 18:4)

And He—exalted is He—says:
“Indeed, those who differ concerning him are truly in doubt about him; they have no knowledge of it whatsoever.” (Q 4:157)

And He—exalted is He—says:
“Those who inherited the Scripture after them are themselves in unsettling doubt about it.” (Q 42:14)

For this reason the Christians have long been characterized by ignorance and deviation, just as the Jews are known for injustice, hardness of heart, and obstinacy. From everything we have set forth, it is evident that, while they persist in rejecting Muhammad—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—even in a single word, they are utterly unable to cite a single prophetic statement in support of any article of their own religion, let alone anyone else’s.
