And He also says:
“Say: It has been revealed to me that a company of the jinn listened and said, ‘We have heard a wondrous Quran. It guides to sound judgment, so we have believed in it, and we will never ascribe any partner to our Lord. Exalted is the Majesty of our Lord; He has taken neither spouse nor child. Our foolish one used to speak outrageous lies about Allah, and we had thought that neither humans nor jinn would ever tell a lie about Allah. There were men from humankind who sought refuge with men from the jinn, and they only increased them in burden. They too thought—as you have thought—that Allah would never resurrect anyone. We reached for the heaven and found it filled with stern guards and shooting stars. We used to take up positions there to overhear, but whoever tries to listen now finds a flaming projectile lying in wait for him. We do not know whether evil is intended for those on earth or whether their Lord intends for them a right course. Among us are the righteous and among us are others of lesser standing; we are of diverse paths. We have realized that we can never frustrate Allah on earth, nor can we escape Him by fleeing. When we heard the guidance we believed in it; whoever believes in his Lord need fear neither loss nor oppression. Among us are those who submit and among us are the wrongdoers; whoever submits—they are the ones who have sought out the right course, but the wrongdoers will be fuel for Hell.
Had they kept to the straight path, We would have given them abundant water, to test them thereby; yet whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord, He will drive him into ever-mounting torment. The mosques belong to Allah, so do not call upon anyone else alongside Allah. When the servant of Allah stood up to invoke Him, they almost crowded round him in swarming masses.’
Say, ‘I call upon my Lord alone, and I associate none with Him. I possess no power to harm you or to set you right. None can protect me from Allah, nor can I find any refuge apart from Him; I have only to deliver from Allah His messages. Whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger will have the fire of Hell, to remain therein forever. When at last they see that which they are promised, they will know who is weaker in helpers and fewer in number. Say, “I do not know whether what you are promised is near or whether my Lord will grant it a longer respite. He is the Knower of the unseen and He discloses His unseen to none—except to a messenger He has chosen. He places guards before him and behind him so that He may know that they have truly conveyed their Lord’s messages. He encompasses all that is with them and keeps count of everything, number by number.”’” (al-Jinn 72:1–28)
A similar statement is His words: “It is indeed a Reminder for you and for your people, and you will be questioned.” (al-Zukhruf 43:44)
His people are Quraysh, yet that does not prevent it from being a reminder for the rest of the Arabs—indeed, for all mankind.
