And He—exalted be He—also says:
“Thus We have appointed for every prophet an enemy: devils from among humankind and jinn, some of them whispering to others embellished speech in delusion; yet had your Lord willed …” ⦗al-Anʿām 6:112⦘, up to His words:
“… so that the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter may incline toward it, be content with it, and so that they may continue to perpetrate what they are perpetrating.” ⦗al-Anʿām 6:113⦘.
Likewise, His statement:
“And thus We have made you a middle community so that you may be witnesses over mankind and that the Messenger may be a witness over you.” ⦗al-Baqarah 2:143⦘.
In their being a middle community there are other wisdoms besides.
And His saying:
“He is the One who created death and life so that He might test you as to which of you is best in deeds.” ⦗al-Mulk 67:2⦘.
In the creation of both are still further wisdoms.
The same applies to His words:
“Blessed is the One who sent down the Criterion upon His servant so that he might be a warner to all peoples.” ⦗al-Furqān 25:1⦘.
In that likewise lie additional wisdoms—of glad tidings, of command, and of prohibition.
