And He, exalted is He, says:

“It is nothing but a reminder and a clear Quran, so that it may warn whoever is alive and so that the word may be fulfilled against the disbelievers.” ⦗Yā Sīn 36:69–70⦘.

It is self-evident that it contains a further wisdom beyond mere warning.

He likewise says:

“Before it there was the Book of Moses, a guide and a mercy; and this is a confirming Book in clear Arabic, so that it may warn those who have wronged and bring glad tidings to the people of excellence.” ⦗al-Aḥqāf 46:12⦘.

Once again, it is clear that it harbors additional purposes, including warning all of creation, enjoining them to what is right, forbidding them from what is wrong, and bringing good news to the believers. Accordingly, He, exalted, says:

“When We took from the prophets their covenant—and from you, and from Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus son of Mary—and We took from them a solemn covenant, so that He may question the truthful about their truthfulness.” ⦗al-Aḥzāb 33:7–8⦘.

It is equally obvious that taking this covenant serves other wisdoms as well.

He, exalted, also says:

“Indeed, We have granted you a clear victory, so that Allah may forgive you your former and latter sins, complete His favor upon you, and guide you to a straight path.” ⦗al-Fatḥ 48:1–2⦘.
