The Exalted also says:
“Say: If mankind and jinn were to gather together to produce the like of this Quran, they would never produce its like, even if each of them were to back the other with all possible support.” ⦗al-Isrāʾ 88⦘
He thus declared that neither humans nor jinn, up to the Day of Resurrection, would ever be able to bring forth anything comparable to this Quran. More than seven hundred years have now passed since that proclamation, and no one from among humankind or jinn has succeeded in producing its like.
Concerning the disbelievers—while he was still in Mecca—the Exalted said:
“The host will be routed, and they will turn their backs in flight.” ⦗al-Qamar 45⦘
The truth of this became manifest on the Day of Badr and on other occasions, and again many years thereafter.
He, may He be exalted, also says:
“Allah has promised those of you who believe and do righteous deeds that He will surely grant them succession in the land as He granted it to those before them, will surely establish for them the religion He has approved for them, and will surely replace their fear with security—so that they may worship Me, not associating anything with Me.” ⦗al-Nūr 55⦘
Events turned out exactly as He had promised, and the fulfilment of that promise became evident many years later.
Likewise, His statement:
“He is the One who sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth so that He might make it prevail over every other religion; and sufficient is Allah as Witness.” ⦗al-Fatḥ 28⦘
Allah caused what His Messenger had been sent with to prevail through clear signs and conclusive proofs—by the power of word and by the power of arms alike.
The Exalted also says:
“Say to those who disbelieve: You will be overcome and herded together toward Hell, and wretched indeed is that resting place.” ⦗Āl ʿImrān 12⦘
