Allah, Exalted is He, also says:

“Indeed, those who have split up their religion and become sects—you have nothing to do with them.” (Al-Anʿām 6:159)

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

“Whoever turns away from my sunnah is not of me.”

In the same way, the Muslims are unanimously agreed that Muhammad—peace and blessings be upon him—was sent to all nations, whether People of the Scripture or otherwise. They received this from their Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and it has come down to them by recurrent, mass-transmitted reports that they know with absolute certainty.

Likewise, they are unanimous that in their prayers they must face the Kaʿbah, the Sacred House. This consensus rests on mutawātir (widely recurrent) transmission from their Prophet and is mentioned in their Book.
