The Opposition of the Enemies of Truth with Their False Claims
Likewise, all the other enemies of the prophets—those criminals who are devils in human and jinn form, who whisper to one another flowery words in delusion—whenever they parade the arguments they use to defend their religion, which runs counter to the Messenger’s religion, and dress those arguments up by cobbling together snippets of transmitted reports and rational speculation, that very display becomes one of the causes for the emergence of the faith that Allah has promised will prevail over every other creed: first through clarification, proof, and decisive evidence, and then by sword, hand, and spear.
Allah the Exalted says:
“We sent Our messengers with clear proofs and sent down with them the Scripture and the balance so that people might uphold justice. And We sent down iron, in which is great might and benefits for humanity, so that Allah may make known those who aid Him and His messengers though unseen. Truly Allah is All-Powerful, Almighty.” (57:25)
This happens through the signs and evidences that Allah, blessed and exalted, establishes—signs by which truth is distinguished from falsehood, the flawless from the defective, guidance from error, reality from impossibility, waywardness from rectitude, reform from corruption, and mistake from correctness. It is a trial that sifts people, separating the vile from the wholesome.
He, the Exalted, says:
“Allah would not leave the believers in the state you are in until He separates the evil from the good.” (3:179)
