and the people of Adhruh paid the jizyah to the Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—during the Tabuk campaign. He then dispatched Khalid ibn al-Walid to the inhabitants of Dumat al-Jandal; they captured their chieftain, Ukaydir, and concluded with him a treaty stipulating the jizyah.

(أَذْرُحَ)
إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْجِزْيَةَ فِي غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ، وَبَعَثَ خَالِدَ بْنَ الْوَلِيدِ إِلَى أَهْلِ دَوْمَةِ الْجَنْدَلِ، فَأَسَرُوا رَئِيسَهُمْ أُكَيْدِرَ، فَبَايَعُوهُ عَلَى الْجِزْيَةِ.
