and His words:
“Indeed, We sent Moses with Our signs, commanding him: ‘Lead your people out of darkness into light, and remind them of the Days of Allah. Surely in that are signs for everyone who is steadfast and grateful.’” ⦗Ibrahim 5⦘

and His words:
“Has there not come to you the news of those before you—the people of Noah, ʿAd, Thamud, and those after them, whom only Allah knows? Their messengers came to them with clear proofs, but they put their hands to their mouths, saying, ‘We deny what you have been sent with, and we are in disturbing doubt about that to which you call us.’” ⦗Ibrahim 9⦘ (9)

“ Their messengers said, ‘Is there any doubt about Allah, the Originator of the heavens and the earth? He calls you so that He may forgive you some of your sins and grant you respite until a stated term.’” ⦗Ibrahim 10⦘ —and so on.

Thus the Exalted One informs us that the people of Noah, ʿAd, Thamud, and those who came after them—none knows their exact number but Allah—were visited by their messengers bearing clear proofs; it is therefore established that they did indeed come with manifest signs.

He also says:
“If they belie you, messengers before you were likewise belied; they came with clear proofs, with written scriptures, and with the illuminating Book.” ⦗Al ʿImran 184⦘
