Al-Jawāb as-Sahīh li-man baddala dīn al-MasīhIbn Taimiya

is something no human being could ever encompass, even though believing in it is obligatory upon everyone.

Therefore Allah discloses to every community—and indeed to every single person—such signs and proofs as He does not disclose to others. The evidences and tokens of His Lordship are greater and more plentiful than all other proofs for any object whatsoever. For every people, and even for every individual, there are specific evidences that Allah causes him to witness within himself and in the horizons, the particulars of which remain unknown to others.

The Exalted said:
“We will show them Our signs in the horizons and within themselves until it becomes clear to them that it is the Truth.” ⦗Fussilat: 53⦘

The pronoun in that verse, according to the commentators, the early scholars, and scholars generally, refers to the Qur’an, as the Qur’an itself indicates in His words:
“Say, ‘Have you considered: if it is from Allah and then you deny it, who is more astray than one who is entrenched in deep dissension?’” ⦗Fussilat: 52⦘

(52)

“We will show them Our signs in the horizons and within themselves until it becomes clear to them that it is the Truth.” ⦗Fussilat: 53⦘

…

It has also been said that the pronoun refers to Allah, but the correct view is the first, as He said:
“Say, ‘Have you considered: if it is from Allah and then you deny it…’” ⦗Fussilat: 52⦘
