Al-Jawāb as-Sahīh li-man baddala dīn al-MasīhIbn Taimiya

Then Fayruz al-Daylami rose up against al-Aswad al-ʿAnsi and killed him. News of the latter’s death reached the Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—while he was in the illness that would end his life; he came out and informed his Companions, saying:

“A righteous man from a righteous people has slain al-Aswad al-ʿAnsi tonight.”

His story is famous, as is the account of Musaylimah the Liar and the rest of the false claimants to prophethood.
