cease; blood-shed will carry on until the Day of Resurrection.”
In Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim it is reported in the ḥadith of Salama ibn al-Akwaʿ that he said: “My uncle started chanting in rajaz meter:
‘By Allah, were it not for Allah we would not have been guided,
Nor would we have given in charity, nor would we have prayed…’
يَزَالَ الْهَرْجُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ» .
وَفِي صَحِيحِ مُسْلِمٍ مِنْ «حَدِيثِ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَكْوَعِ قَالَ:
جَعَلَ عَمِّي يَرْتَجِزُ وَيَقُولُ:
تَاللَّهِ لَوْلَا اللَّهُ مَا اهْتَدَيْنَا ... وَلَا تَصَدَّقْنَا وَلَا صَلَّيْنَا
