Al-Jawāb as-Sahīh li-man baddala dīn al-Masīh - Ibn Taimiya - (6/256)

In Sahih Muslim it is narrated from Salamah ibn al-Akwaʿ: “We set out with the Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—on the campaign of Hunayn. When we came face to face with the enemy, I moved ahead of him and climbed a pass. A man from the enemy confronted me, so I shot an arrow at him and he disappeared from my sight; I do not know what happened to him. I then looked at the people and saw that they had appeared from another pass. They clashed with the companions of the Prophet—Allah bless him and grant him peace—who then turned in flight. I too began to retreat. I was wearing two cloaks: one wrapped around my waist and the other draped over me. My lower wrap came loose, so I gathered the two cloaks together and ran past the Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—while he was mounted on his gray mule. The Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—said, ‘He has certainly seen…’”}

وَفِي صَحِيحِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَكْوَعِ قَالَ: «غَزَوْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حُنَيْنًا، فَلَمَّا وَاجَهْنَا الْعَدُوَّ تَقَدَّمْتُهُ، فَأَعْلُو ثَنِيَّةً، فَاسْتَقْبَلَنِي رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْعَدُوِّ فَأَرْمِيهِ بِسَهْمٍ فَتَوَارَى عَنِّي، فَمَا دَرَيْتُ مَا صَنَعَ، وَنَظَرْتُ إِلَى الْقَوْمِ فَإِذَا هُمْ قَدْ طَلَعُوا مِنْ ثَنِيَّةٍ أُخْرَى، فَالْتَقَوْا هُمْ وَأَصَحَابُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَوَلَّى أَصْحَابُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَأَرْجِعُ مُنْهَزِمًا، وَعَلَيَّ بُرْدَتَانِ مُتَّزِرًا بِإِحْدَاهُمَا مُرْتَدِيًا بِالْأُخْرَى، فَاسْتَطْلَقَ إِزَارَيَّ فَجَمَعْتُهُمَا جَمِيعًا وَمَرَرْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُنْهَزِمًا وَهُوَ عَلَى بَغْلَتِهِ الشَّهْبَاءِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: لَقَدْ رَأَى
