Al-Jawāb as-Sahīh li-man baddala dīn al-MasīhIbn Taimiya

Imām Aḥmad also transmits—on the authority of Ibn ʿAbbās—that he said:

“One morning the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, awoke to find that there was no water at all in the camp. A man came to him and said, ‘Messenger of Allah, there is no water in the camp.’ He asked, ‘Do you have anything with you?’ The man replied, ‘Yes.’ He said, ‘Bring it to me.’ So he brought him a vessel containing only a small amount of water. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, placed his fingers into the mouth of the vessel and spread them apart, whereupon springs of water burst forth from between his fingers. He then instructed Bilāl, saying, ‘Call out to the people: let them make the blessed ablution.’”
