“My Lord, I have indeed wronged myself, so I submit, together with Solomon, to Allah, Lord of all worlds.” (27:44)

The Exalted also said about the prophets of the Children of Israel:

“Indeed, We sent down the Torah containing guidance and light; the prophets who had submitted judged by it for the Jews.” (5:44)

And He, exalted is He, said about the Messiah:

“When Jesus sensed their disbelief, he asked, ‘Who will be my helpers for the cause of Allah?’ The disciples replied, ‘We are Allah’s helpers. We believe in Allah, so bear witness that we are Muslims.’” (3:52)

He, the Most High, also said:

“And [remember] when I revealed to the disciples, ‘Believe in Me and in My messenger.’ They said, ‘We believe, so bear witness that indeed we are Muslims.’” (5:111)

Thus, the religion of both the earliest and the latest among the prophets and their followers is the religion of Islam: worshipping Allah alone with no partner, and worshipping Him in every time and place through obedience to His messengers, peace be upon them.

Consequently, anyone who worships Him in a manner that contradicts what His messengers brought is not truly worshipping Him—like those about whom He said:
