In another narration: “He was split open from the upper chest down to the lower abdomen.”

Concerning the Much-Frequented House he said:

“I asked, ‘What is this?’
He replied, ‘A structure Allah has built for His angels. Each day seventy thousand angels enter it to declare Allah’s sanctity and glorify Him; they never return to it again.’”

In the report of Abū Dharr it says:

“Gabriel came down, split open my chest, washed it with Zamzam water, then brought a golden basin filled with wisdom and faith and poured it into my chest. He closed it, took me by the hand, and ascended with me to the lowest heaven.

When we reached the lowest heaven Gabriel said to its keeper, ‘Open.’
He asked, ‘Who is this?’
He replied, ‘Gabriel.’
He said, ‘Is anyone with you?’
He answered, ‘Yes, Muhammad—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—is with me.’

When we had ascended into the heaven, there stood a man with crowds on his right and crowds on his left. Whenever he looked to his right he laughed, and whenever he looked to his left he wept. He said, ‘Welcome, righteous son and righteous prophet.’

I asked, ‘O Gabriel, who is this?’
He said, ‘This is Adam, and these crowds on his right and on his left are the souls of his descendants. Those on the right are the people of Paradise,’
