and grant him peace.’
They asked, ‘Has he been sent for?’
He answered, ‘He has indeed been sent for.’
The gate was opened for us, and there I was before Joseph, peace be upon him—he had been granted half of all beauty. He welcomed me and invoked good for me.

Then he ascended with us to the fourth heaven. Gabriel sought permission to enter.
It was said, ‘Who is this?’
He replied, ‘Gabriel.’
They asked, ‘And who is with you?’
He said, ‘Muhammad—may Allah bless him and grant him peace.’
They asked, ‘Has he been sent for?’
He replied, ‘He has indeed been sent for.’
The gate was opened for us, and there I found Idris, peace be upon him. He welcomed me and prayed for my good. Allah, Mighty and Majestic, says: ‘And We raised him to a high station’ (Maryam 19:57).

Next he ascended with us to the fifth heaven. Gabriel, upon him be peace, requested that it be opened. It was said, ‘Who is this?’ He answered, ‘Gabriel.’
They asked, ‘And who is with you?’
He replied, ‘Muhammad…’
