ʿAmir ibn al-Tufayl said about him, “I saw him after he had been killed—he was lifted up toward the sky, to the point that I could look and see the space between him and the earth.”

Both Ṣaḥīḥs relate, through the narration of Abū Ḥumayd al-Saʿidī, who said: “We set out with the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, on the Tabuk campaign. When we reached Wādī al-Qurā, beside a garden that belonged to a woman, the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said…”
