Al-Bukhari’s Ṣaḥīḥ—and other collections as well—relate from Umm Ḥarām that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said:
‘The first army from my community that undertakes an expedition against Constantinople will have its sins forgiven.’
Al-Bukhari also transmits, again through Umm Ḥarām,
وَتَتَصَدَّقُ» . وَفِي صَحِيحِ الْبُخَارِيِّ، وَغَيْرِهِ، عَنْ أُمِّ حَرَامٍ،
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ:
«أَوَّلُ جَيْشٍ يَغْزُو الْقُسْطَنْطِينِيَّةَ مَغْفُورٌ لَهُمْ»
