He answered, “ʿUmar.”
Both Ṣaḥīḥ collections transmit—on the authority of Abū Hurayrah—that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Trials will arise: during them the one who remains seated is better than the one who stands, the one who stands is better than the one who walks, and the one who walks is better than the one who runs. Whoever goes out looking for them will be overtaken by them, and whoever finds a place of safety should seek refuge there.”
Abū Bakrah also narrated this report, adding: “When they do occur, whoever owns camels should go to his camels, whoever owns sheep should go to his sheep, and whoever owns land—let him…"

وَفِي الصَّحِيحَيْنِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ:
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «سَتَكُونُ الْفِتَنُ، الْقَاعِدُ فِيهَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْقَائِمِ، وَالْقَائِمُ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْمَاشِي، وَالْمَاشِي فِيهَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ السَّاعِي مَنْ تَشَرَّفَ لَهَا تَسْتَشْرِفُهُ، وَمَنْ وَجَدَ فِيهَا مَلْجَأً فَلْيَعُذْ بِهِ. وَرَوَاهُ أَبُو بَكْرَةَ،
وَقَالَ فِيهِ:
فَإِذَا وَقَعَتْ، فَمَنْ كَانَ لَهُ إِبِلٌ فَلْيَلْحَقْ بِإِبِلِهِ، وَمَنْ كَانَتْ لَهُ غَنَمٌ فَلْيَلْحَقْ بِغَنَمِهِ، وَمَنْ كَانَتْ لَهُ أَرْضٌ فَلْيَلْحَقْ
