—peace and blessings be upon him—who said:

"Allah began this matter with prophethood and mercy; then it will be a caliphate and mercy; then it will become a biting kingship; then it will turn into coercive domination and tyranny, along with corruption in the community. They will deem illicit sexual relations, wine, and silk lawful, yet they will still be granted victory and provided for continually until they meet Allah, Mighty and Majestic."

Abū Dāwūd narrated—on the authority of Samura ibn Jundub—that a man said:
