Al-Jawāb as-Sahīh li-man baddala dīn al-Masīh - Ibn Taimiya - (1/82)

And Allah, exalted is He, said about Joseph the Truthful:

“Lord, You have granted me a share of authority and taught me something of the interpretation of dreams. Originator of the heavens and the earth, You are my Protector in this world and in the Hereafter. Let me die as a Muslim and join me with the righteous.” (12:101)

He, exalted is He, also said about Moses:

“My people, if you have truly believed in Allah, then place your trust in Him—if indeed you are Muslims.” (10:84)

The Most High further related about the magicians, that they said to Pharaoh:

“You resent us only because we believed in the signs of our Lord when they came to us. Our Lord, pour upon us patience and let us die as Muslims.” (7:126)

And the Most High said about Bilqis, the queen of Yemen:

وَقَالَ تَعَالَى عَنْ يُوسُفَ الصِّدِّيقِ: {رَبِّ قَدْ آتَيْتَنِي مِنَ الْمُلْكِ وَعَلَّمْتَنِي مِنْ تَأْوِيلِ الْأَحَادِيثِ فَاطِرَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ أَنْتَ وَلِيِّي فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ تَوَفَّنِي مُسْلِمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالصَّالِحِينَ} [يوسف: ١٠١] . وَقَالَ تَعَالَى عَنْ مُوسَى: {يَاقَوْمِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ آمَنْتُمْ بِاللَّهِ فَعَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلُوا إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُسْلِمِينَ} [يونس: ٨٤] . وَأَخْبَرَ تَعَالَى عَنِ السَّحَرَةِ، أَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا لِفِرْعَوْنَ: {وَمَا تَنْقِمُ مِنَّا إِلَّا أَنْ آمَنَّا بِآيَاتِ رَبِّنَا لَمَّا جَاءَتْنَا رَبَّنَا أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا وَتَوَفَّنَا مُسْلِمِينَ} [الأعراف: ١٢٦] . وَقَالَ تَعَالَى عَنْ بِلْقِيسَ مَلِكَةِ الْيَمَنِ:
