“Shield yourselves from the Fire—even if only with half a date; and if one cannot find even that, then with a kind word.”

ʿAdī continued, “I later saw a lone woman depart from al-Hira and travel until she circled the Kaʿba, fearing no one but Allah. I was also among those who captured the treasures of Khosrow son of Hormizd. By Allah, if you live long enough, you will certainly witness what the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, foretold: a man will come forth with a handful of wealth.”

I say: The prophecy that a man would go out with a handful of gold or silver and find no one willing to accept it came true exactly as described during the caliphate of ʿUmar ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAziz.
