—“The host will be routed and will turn their backs.” (Al-Qamar 45)

He also said:

“If those who disbelieved had fought you, they would certainly have turned their backs; then they would have found no ally and no helper.” (Al-Fath 22)

—and it happened exactly as He had foretold.

He said as well:

“Among those who say, ‘We are Christians,’ We took their covenant, but they neglected much of what they had been reminded of; so We stirred up enmity and hatred among them until the Day of Resurrection.” (Al-Māʾidah 14)

—and they became just as He had informed.

And He said:

“The Jews say, ‘Allah’s hand is chained.’ May their hands be chained, and may they be cursed for what they say! Rather, both His hands are outstretched; He spends as He wills. What has been sent down to you from your Lord will surely increase many of them in rebellion and disbelief. And We have cast among them enmity and hatred until the Day of Resurrection. Whenever they kindle the fire of war, Allah extinguishes it.” (Al-Māʾidah 64)
