He said:
“A man once asked ʿĀʾishah, ‘Did the Messenger of Allah do any work inside his house?’ She replied, ‘He would mend his own sandals, sew his own clothes, and attend to household chores just as any one of you does in his own home.’”
Al-Tayālisī narrates—through Shuʿbah from al-Aʿwar—who said: I heard Anas say,
“The Messenger of Allah would ride a donkey, wear wool, and accept the invitation of a servant. Indeed, on the day of Khaybar I saw him riding a donkey whose bridle was made of palm fiber.”
Muslim records in his Ṣaḥīḥ, on the authority of Anas:
“I never saw anyone more compassionate toward children than the Messenger of Allah.”
Al-Bukhārī likewise transmits from Anas:
“The Messenger of Allah passed by some children and greeted them with peace.”
