Al-Jawāb as-Sahīh li-man baddala dīn al-MasīhIbn Taimiya

And in another sound narration it states:

“He was given to long periods of silence and laughed but little; yet his Companions would sometimes recite poetry in his presence or speak of their own concerns, whereupon they would laugh while he would only smile.”

Sahih al-Bukhari also records—on the authority of ʿAʾishah (may Allah be pleased with her)—that al-Aswad asked her, “What did the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, do when he was with his family?” She replied, “He would busy himself with the service of his family—that is, he would help them—but when the time for prayer arrived he would step out.”

There is likewise a transmission reported by ʿAbd al-Razzaq, from Maʿmar, from al-Zuhri, from ʿUrwah.
