and even the invitation of a slave; and I once saw him on the day of Khaybar riding a donkey whose bridle was nothing but palm-fibre.
Muslim records in his Ṣaḥīḥ, from Anas, who said: “I have never seen anyone more compassionate toward his family than the Messenger of Allah.”
Al-Bukhārī also transmits from him that he said: “The Messenger of Allah passed by a group of boys and greeted them with peace.”
Ibn ʿAbbās narrates: “The Messenger of Allah would sit on the ground, eat on the ground, hold the sheep between his legs for milking, and accept the invitation of a slave.”
And Qudāmah ibn ʿAbd Allāh said: “I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him…"
الْمَمْلُوكِ، وَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ عَلَى حِمَارٍ خِطَامُهُ لِيفٌ»
".
وَرَوَى مُسْلِمٌ فِي صَحِيحِهِ «عَنْ أَنَسٍ،
قَالَ:
" مَا رَأَيْتُ أَرْحَمَ بِالْعِيَالِ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ» .
وَرَوَى الْبُخَارِيُّ عَنْهُ، قَالَ
"
«مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ عَلَى صِبْيَانٍ فَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِمْ»

وَرَوَى ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ،
قَالَ:
"
«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ يَجْلِسُ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ، وَيَأْكُلُ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ، وَيَعْتَقِلُ الشَّاةَ، وَيُجِيبُ دَعْوَةَ الْمَمْلُوكِ»
.
«وَعَنْ قُدَامَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ:
" رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
