Al-Jawāb as-Sahīh li-man baddala dīn al-MasīhIbn Taimiya

It is related from Ibn Abī Awfā who said: “The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, would walk with a widow or a needy person and see to the fulfillment of that person’s request.”

He also said: “The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was constant in remembering Allah, spoke little of what was idle, prolonged the prayer, shortened the sermon, and never considered it beneath him to walk with a slave or a widow until he had completed their business.” Al-Dārimī transmitted this report, as did al-Ḥākim in his Ṣaḥīḥ.

Abū Dāwūd al-Ṭayālisī transmits from Anas: “The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, would ride a donkey, wear wool, and answer an invitation …”
