Section: The Religion of All the Prophets Is One—Islam

The religion that Allah has approved for Himself is Islam. This is the faith with which He sent every messenger, first and last, and He accepts no other religion from anyone, whether of the earliest generations or the later ones.

Islam is the religion of the prophets and of those who follow them, as Allah, exalted is He, has declared concerning Noah and all who came after him, even to the disciples of Jesus.

Recite to them the story of Noah when he said to his people: “My people, if my station among you and my reminding you of Allah’s signs have become too burdensome for you, then in Allah I have placed my trust. So gather together your decision and your partners; let your plan not be hidden from you; then carry it out against me and give me no respite. But if you turn away, I have asked you for no reward. My reward lies only with Allah, and I have been commanded to be among the Muslims.” (10:71–72)

And Allah, the Most High, said about Abraham:

“Who would turn away from the way of Abraham except one who debases his own soul? We chose him in this world, and in the Hereafter he shall be among the righteous. When his Lord said to him, ‘Submit,’ he replied, ‘I have submitted to the Lord of all worlds.’ Abraham also enjoined this upon his children, and so did Jacob: ‘My sons, Allah has chosen the religion for you; so do not die except as Muslims.’” (2:130–132)

[فَصْلٌ: دِينِ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ وَاحِدٌ هُوَ الْإِسْلَامُ] [الدِّينُ الَّذِي ارْتَضَاهُ اللَّهُ لِنَفْسِهِ هُوَ دِينُ الْإِسْلَامِ] وَكَانَ دِينُهُ الَّذِي ارْتَضَاهُ اللَّهُ لِنَفْسِهِ هُوَ دِينُ الْإِسْلَامِ: الَّذِي بَعَثَ اللَّهُ بِهِ الْأَوَّلِينَ وَالْآخِرِينَ مِنَ الرُّسُلِ، وَلَا يَقْبَلُ مِنْ أَحَدٍ دِينًا غَيْرَهُ لَا مِنَ الْأَوَّلِينَ وَلَا مِنَ الْآخِرِينَ. وَهُوَ دِينُ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ وَأَتْبَاعِهِمْ، كَمَا أَخْبَرَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى بِذَلِكَ عَنْ نُوحٍ وَمَنْ بَعْدَهُ إِلَى الْحَوَارِيِّينَ. قَالَ تَعَالَى: {وَاتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ نُوحٍ إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِ يَاقَوْمِ إِنْ كَانَ كَبُرَ عَلَيْكُمْ مَقَامِي وَتَذْكِيرِي بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ فَعَلَى اللَّهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ فَأَجْمِعُوا أَمْرَكُمْ وَشُرَكَاءَكُمْ ثُمَّ لَا يَكُنْ أَمْرُكُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ غُمَّةً ثُمَّ اقْضُوا إِلَيَّ وَلَا تُنْظِرُونِ - فَإِنْ تَوَلَّيْتُمْ فَمَا سَأَلْتُكُمْ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَى اللَّهِ وَأُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ} [يونس: ٧١ - ٧٢] . وَقَالَ تَعَالَى عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ: {وَمَنْ يَرْغَبُ عَنْ مِلَّةِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِلَّا مَنْ سَفِهَ نَفْسَهُ وَلَقَدِ اصْطَفَيْنَاهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَإِنَّهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ لَمِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ - إِذْ قَالَ لَهُ رَبُّهُ أَسْلِمْ قَالَ أَسْلَمْتُ لِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ - وَوَصَّى بِهَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بَنِيهِ وَيَعْقُوبُ يَابَنِيَّ إِنَّ اللَّهَ اصْطَفَى لَكُمُ الدِّينَ فَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ} [البقرة: ١٣٠ - ١٣٢] .
