She said, “Do you not recite the Qur’an?”
He replied, “Indeed I do.”
She said, “Then the character of Allah’s Prophet was the Qur’an itself.”

Al-Ḥākim authenticates, in his Mustadrak, a report from Abū Hurayrah in which the Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—said:
“I was sent to complete noble character.”

The Two Ṣaḥīḥs narrate from al-Mughīrah ibn Shuʿbah:
“The Messenger of Allah stood (in prayer) until his feet became swollen. It was said to him, ‘O Messenger of Allah, has not Allah forgiven you your earlier and later sins?’ He replied, ‘Should I not, then, be a grateful servant?’”

The Two Ṣaḥīḥs also record, on the authority of Abū Hurayrah:
“The Messenger of Allah never …”
