Section: The people’s transmission of his qualities—peace be upon him—that attest to his perfection

People have passed down his outward features, all of which point to his complete perfection, and they have likewise reported his virtues—his forbearance, courage, generosity, detachment from worldly things, and other qualities. We shall cite some of these accounts.

In the two Ṣaḥīḥs it is related from al-Barāʾ ibn ʿĀzib who said:

“The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, had the most beautiful face of all people and the best character. He was neither exceedingly tall nor short.”

He also said:

“He was broad-shouldered and had abundant hair that reached …”
