He—exalted is He—has also said:
“Say: it was the rūḥ al-qudus (the Holy Spirit) that has brought it down from your Lord in truth”
(al-Naḥl 102).

And in another place He says:
“Say: whoever is an enemy to Gabriel—it is he who has brought it down upon your heart by Allah’s permission”
(al-Baqarah 97).

And He says:
“Indeed, it is the speech of a noble messenger,
endued with power, firmly established with the Lord of the Throne,
obeyed there and trustworthy.
Your companion is not mad;
truly he saw him on the clear horizon.
He does not withhold knowledge of the unseen,
nor is this the speech of an accursed devil.
So where are you heading?
It is but a reminder to all peoples—
for anyone among you who desires to stand upright.”
(al-Takwīr 19–28).
