The Exalted said:
“Yet it is indeed found in the scriptures of the earlier peoples.” ⦗Ash-Shuʿarāʾ 196⦘
He also said:
“Was it not a sign for them that the scholars of the Children of Israel should recognise it?” ⦗Ash-Shuʿarāʾ 197⦘
The scholars of the Children of Israel are fully aware of the foretold sending of Muhammad and of revelation descending upon him, just as the Exalted said:
“Whom they find written down with them in the Torah and the Gospel.” ⦗Al-Aʿrāf 157⦘
And He said:
“Those to whom We have given the Scripture know that it has been sent down from your Lord in truth, so never be one of those who doubt.” ⦗Al-Anʿām 114⦘
And He said:
فَقَالَ تَعَالَى:
{وَإِنَّهُ لَفِي زُبُرِ الْأَوَّلِينَ}
[الشعراء: ١٩٦]

وَقَالَ:
{أَوَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُمْ آيَةً أَنْ يَعْلَمَهُ عُلَمَاءُ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ}
[الشعراء: ١٩٧]

وَعُلَمَاءُ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ يَعْلَمُونَ ذِكْرَ إِرْسَالِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَنُزُولِ الْوَحْيِ عَلَيْهِ،
كَمَا قَالَ تَعَالَى:
{الَّذِي يَجِدُونَهُ مَكْتُوبًا عِنْدَهُمْ فِي التَّوْرَاةِ وَالْإِنْجِيلِ}
[الأعراف: ١٥٧]

وَقَالَ:
{وَالَّذِينَ آتَيْنَاهُمُ الْكِتَابَ يَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهُ مُنَزَّلٌ مِنْ رَبِّكَ بِالْحَقِّ فَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمُمْتَرِينَ}
[الأنعام: ١١٤]
