“…‘What sort of messenger is this who eats food and walks about in the marketplaces? Why has no angel been sent down to him so that he might be a warner alongside him? Or why has a treasure not been dropped upon him, or a garden granted to him from which he could eat?’ And the wrongdoers said, ‘You are only following a man under a spell.’ Look at the comparisons they draw for you; they have gone astray and can no longer find a path.” ⦗al-Furqān 7–9⦘

He commands us to reflect on the nature of the analogies they coined, for they likened him to someone whose utter difference from him is so obvious that no discerning observer could miss it. Hence His words: “so they have gone astray and can no longer find a path.” It is plain that this is deviation from the path of truth, and whoever strays from that path will find no way back to it.

The Exalted also said:

“When you recite the Quran, seek refuge with Allah from Satan the accursed. He certainly has no authority over those who believe and who place their trust in their Lord; his authority extends only to those who befriend him and to those who associate partners with Him. Whenever We replace one verse with another—and Allah knows best what He reveals—they say, ‘You are but a forger.’ No! Most of them do not know. Say: ‘The Holy Spirit has brought it down from your Lord in truth, so that it may strengthen the believers, and as guidance and good news for the Muslims.’ We are indeed aware that they say, ‘A human being is teaching him.’ The tongue of the one at whom they hint is foreign, whereas this is clear Arabic speech.” ⦗al-Naḥl 98–103⦘
