Thus, Noah—the very first messenger whom Allah sent to the people of the earth—declared that he had been commanded to be among the Muslims.
When the magicians embraced Islam and Pharaoh sought to kill them, they said,
“Our Lord, pour upon us steadfastness and let us die as Muslims.”
(al-Aʿrāf 7:126)
He also said,
“We sent down the Torah containing guidance and light; by it the prophets who had submitted judged on behalf of the Jews.”
(al-Māʾidah 5:44)
And He said,
“When I inspired the disciples, ‘Believe in Me and in My Messenger,’ they said, ‘We believe, so bear witness that we are Muslims.’”
(al-Māʾidah 5:111)
فَهَذَا نُوحٌ:
أَوَّلُ رَسُولٍ بَعَثَهُ اللَّهُ إِلَى أَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ، يَذْكُرُ أَنَّهُ أُمِرَ أَنْ يَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ.
وَقَالَتِ السَّحَرَةُ - لَمَّا أَسْلَمُوا، وَأَرَادَ فِرْعَوْنُ قَتْلَهُمْ -:
{رَبَّنَا أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا وَتَوَفَّنَا مُسْلِمِينَ}
[الأعراف: ١٢٦]

وَقَالَ:
{إِنَّا أَنْزَلْنَا التَّوْرَاةَ فِيهَا هُدًى وَنُورٌ يَحْكُمُ بِهَا النَّبِيُّونَ الَّذِينَ أَسْلَمُوا لِلَّذِينَ هَادُوا}
[المائدة: ٤٤]

وَقَالَ:
{وَإِذْ أَوْحَيْتُ إِلَى الْحَوَارِيِّينَ أَنْ آمِنُوا بِي وَبِرَسُولِي قَالُوا آمَنَّا وَاشْهَدْ بِأَنَّنَا مُسْلِمُونَ}
