secret as well as openly, during his lifetime and after his death, in every era and in the most excellent territories of East and West—none but Muhammad. For kings are obeyed outwardly but not inwardly, they are not obeyed after their deaths, and religious people do not obey them in a way that seeks Allah’s reward in the Hereafter and fears His punishment there; this, however, is the case with the prophets.

Moreover, Muhammad made manifest the religion of the messengers before him, affirmed them, and elevated their remembrance and honor. Because of him, vast nations came to believe in the prophets and messengers who lived before Moses and Jesus and others; were it not for Muhammad, they would never have believed in them. Those among the People of the Book who already knew of these prophets were themselves at variance over them, just as they differ over the Messiah; they even spoke ill of David, Solomon, and others in ways well known among them.

He also told them of messengers they had never heard of before, such as Hud, Salih, Shuʿayb, and others.

Muhammad—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—thus confirmed the Messiah’s report that he would be the Urkoun of the world, for he said:

“I am the master of the children of Adam, and this is no boast. Adam and everyone after him are beneath my banner. I will be the spokesman of the prophets when they arrive, and the leader of the prophets when they gather.”

He is the bearer of the Banner of Praise, the possessor of the Praised Station that will be envied by the first and the last on the Day of Resurrection. He is truly the lord of all worlds, and this
