one still weaker than the former two and resembling bronze. The fourth kingdom will be powerful, like iron that crushes everything. As for the two feet you saw made of clay, they represent a weak realm whose unity will be scattered. And the stone you saw strike that enormous idol and smash it to pieces is a prophet whom the God of heaven and earth will raise up from a certain tribe with a mighty law; he will grind down all the kings and nations of the earth until the earth is filled with him and with his community, and the authority of that prophet will last until the end of the world. This, O king, is the interpretation of your vision.”

This description fits Muhammad—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—rather than the Messiah, for he is the one who was sent with a powerful law and shattered every king and nation on earth until the east and west of the world were filled with him and with his nation. His sovereignty endures; no one has been able to remove it, whereas the dominion of the Jews has disappeared and the rule of the Christians has vanished from the choicest and central lands of the earth.
