And He—exalted is He—also says:
“Indeed We favoured some of the prophets over others, and We gave David the Psalms.” ⦗Al-Isrāʾ: 55⦘
Here, the Psalms are mentioned on their own.
Likewise, He refers to the Book of Moses with this particular phrasing—without using the word “Torah” in several passages—when He says:
“So is he who stands upon clear evidence from his Lord, followed by a witness from Him, and before it the Book of Moses, a guide and a mercy? Such people believe in it, whereas whoever from the factions disbelieves in it—the Fire shall be his appointed place.” ⦗Hūd: 17⦘
And He says:
“Say, ‘Tell me: if it is truly from Allah and you nevertheless deny it, while a witness from the Children of Israel has borne testimony to something similar and then believed, yet you persist in arrogance—surely Allah does not guide a wrongdoing people.’” ⦗Al-Aḥqāf: 10⦘
