Section: Another Glad Tiding from the Zabūr (Psalms)

Section

David said in his Psalms—which are the Zabūr:

“Because of this God blessed him forever; therefore gird, O Mighty One, your sword, for splendor is upon your face and praise surrounds you. Ride forth on the word of truth and the mark of devotion to God, for your law and ordinances are joined to the awe of your right hand; your arrows are sharpened, and the nations fall prostrate beneath you.”

They said:

No prophet after David ever girded himself with the sword except Muhammad—may Allah bless him and grant him peace. He is the one before whom the nations bowed, and whose laws were reinforced with awe, just as he—peace and blessings be upon him—said: “I was granted victory through awe for the distance of

[فَصْلٌ: بِشَارَةٌ أُخْرَى مِنَ الزَّبُورِ] فَصْلٌ وَقَالَ دَاوُدُ فِي مَزَامِيرِهِ - وَهِيَ الزَّبُورُ -: مِنْ أَجْلِ هَذَا بَارَكَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ إِلَى الْأَبَدِ، فَتَقَلَّدْ - أَيُّهَا الْجَبَّارُ - بِالسَّيْفِ؛ لِأَنَّ الْبَهَاءَ لِوَجْهِكَ، وَالْحَمْدَ الْغَالِبَ عَلَيْكَ. ارْكَبْ كَلِمَةَ الْحَقِّ وَسِمَةَ التَّأَلُّهِ، فَإِنَّ نَامُوسَكَ وَشَرَائِعَكَ مَقْرُونَةٌ بِهَيْبَةِ يَمِينِكَ، وَسِهَامَكَ مَسْنُونَةٌ، وَالْأُمَمُ يَخِرُّونَ تَحْتَكَ. قَالُوا: فَلَيْسَ مُتَقَلِّدُ السَّيْفِ مِنَ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ بَعْدَ دَاوُدَ سِوَى مُحَمَّدٍ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَرَّتِ الْأُمَمُ تَحْتَهُ، وَقُرِنَتْ شَرَائِعُهُ بِالْهَيْبَةِ، كَمَا قَالَ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ -: " «نُصِرْتُ بِالرُّعْبِ مَسِيرَةَ
