She answered, “I told him such-and-such.”
He replied, “He has no more right to me than you do. For him and his companions there is only one hijra, whereas for you—the people of the ship—there are two.”

Asmāʾ continued, “I later saw Abū Mūsā and the other passengers of the ship coming to me in groups, eager to ask about this report. In all the world there was nothing that made them happier or that they treasured more than the words of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him.”

Abū Burda said: “Asmāʾ used to say, ‘I would see Abū Mūsā repeatedly asking me to recount this ḥadīth.’”

Both al-Bukhārī and Muslim include this narration in their Ṣaḥīḥ collections.

Likewise, the two Ṣaḥīḥs record, on the authority of Abū Hurayra, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, announced to them the death of the Negus, the ruler of Abyssinia, on the very day he passed away,
