And He—exalted is He—said:

“Indeed, the first House established for humankind was surely the one at Bakkah: blessed and a guidance for all peoples. In it are clear signs—the Station of Abraham—and whoever enters it is safe. Pilgrimage to the House is an obligation that Allah has placed upon all people who are able to find a way to it; and whoever disbelieves, Allah is wholly independent of all creation.” (3:96–97)

He—exalted is He—also said:

“For the security of Quraysh, for their security in the winter and summer caravans, let them worship the Lord of this House, who has fed them against hunger and granted them safety from fear.” (106:1–4)

And He—exalted is He—said:

“They say, ‘If we were to follow the guidance along with you, we would be snatched away from our land.’ Have We not established for them a secure sanctuary, to which every kind of fruit is brought as provision from Us? Yet most of them do not know.” (28:57)

And He—exalted is He—said:

“Do they not see that We have made a secure sanctuary while people around them are being snatched away? Will they then believe in falsehood and deny the favor of Allah?” (29:67)
