from atop a fortress in Yathrib, crying out:
“O company of the Jews!”
When they gathered around him they said, “What is the matter with you—woe to you!”
He answered, “The star of Ahmad has appeared; he will be commissioned tonight.”
Abu Zur‘ah also transmitted—with a sound chain—from Usamah ibn Zayd, from his father Zayd ibn Harithah, who said:
“The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, once went out while I was riding behind him. He continued on during one of the scorching days of Mecca, and when we reached the upper part of the valley we met Zayd ibn ‘Amr ibn Nufayl. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to him:
‘O son of ‘Amr, why do I see that your people have turned against you?’”
يَثْرِبَ،
يَصْرُخُ:
" يَا مَعْشَرَ الْيَهُودِ "
فَلَمَّا اجْتَمَعُوا عَلَيْهِ قَالُوا:
" مَا لَكَ وَيْلَكَ "
قَالَ:
" طَلَعَ نَجْمُ أَحْمَدَ الَّذِي يُبْعَثُ اللَّيْلَةَ "

وَرَوَى أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، بِإِسْنَادٍ صَحِيحٍ، عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ زَيْدِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ،
قَالَ:
" «خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَهُوَ مُرْدِفِي ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فِي يَوْمٍ حَارٍّ مِنْ أَيَّامِ مَكَّةَ، حَتَّى إِذَا كُنَّا بِأَعْلَى الْوَادِي لَقِيَهُ زَيْدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ نُفَيْلٍ،
فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ:
"
يَا ابْنَ عَمْرٍو، مَا لِي أَرَى قَوْمَكَ قَدْ شَنَفُوكَ؟ ".
