And He—exalted is He—also says:

“Indeed, those who were granted knowledge before it, when it is recited to them, fall upon their faces in prostration and say, ‘Glory be to our Lord! The promise of our Lord is ever fulfilled.’ They fall upon their faces weeping, and it increases them in humility.” (Q 17:107–109)

And He—exalted is He—says:

“Those to whom We gave the Scripture before this believe in it; and when it is recited to them they say, ‘We believe in it. It is the truth from our Lord. We were already Muslims before it came.’ Such people will be given their reward twice because they were patient, repel evil with good, and spend out of what We have provided them.” (Q 28:52–54)

And He—exalted is He—says:

“So if you are in doubt about what We have sent down to you, ask those who have been reading the Scripture before you.” (Q 10:94)
